Travel awards
The Frank Hirschvogel Foundation and Flax & Teal have kindly offered to support travel awards for attendees who would otherwise struggle to attend the conference for financial reasons. The awards may cover all or part of the eligible travel expenses and will be paid as a reimbursement following successful participation in the conference. Priority will be given to junior students and researchers, and to participants working in countries with a less developed research infrastructure.
Applications must be sent to Prof. Francesco Ballarin and must include:
- a CV;
- a tentative abstract of the proposed contribution, which will also need to be formally submitted once abstract submission opens;
- a short letter of motivation;
- information on whether a visa is required to travel to Germany and, if so, whether an official invitation letter is required, together with the expected visa processing time;
- an estimate of the total travel expenses;
- a brief funding plan indicating how the remaining travel expenses would be covered if the travel award were to reimburse only either 25%, 50%, or 75% of the estimated total cost. This information will help the organizers assess whether partial funding would still make it possible for the applicant to attend the conference.
Applications will be assessed by the local organizing committee. The deadline for applications is 10 January 2027.
Abstract submission
Information about abstract submission for talks and posters will be announced in early 2027.
- There will be a dedicated poster session.
- Presenting is not a prerequisite for attending: participants are welcome to register for the conference without giving a talk or presenting a poster.
- The length of contributed talks will depend on registration numbers, but is expected to be around 15 minutes.
