How to write 2 vector fileds in one vtk file?

+3 votes

Dear all

I have a problem to write the results in a vtk file. Assume that, u and d are vector fields and function of time. They are solution of different PDEs. I need to save them in one vtk file, since I need to do post processing with both fields on VisIt 2.7 . I don't know how to write them in one unique file. I would appreciate if you help me out on this issue.

This functionality is not supported, see:

you may be able to use XDMF format output, which does have some capability for multiple functions.
