Colormap of field on deformed shape

Dear all,

in plotting my solution I need now something "conceptually simple": drawing a scalar field (colormap) on the deformed shape, not on the mesh.

Is it possible with Fenics, or do I have to use ParaView?

Paraview will definitely do it. Write your solution to a pvd file, load it into paraview and try the "Warp by Scalar" filter.

If you use the plot command in fenics I think that is also the default behavior for a scalar field.
