Wouldn't it be a good idea to try to get Fenics a channel on irc.freenode.org? You likely know about it already, but just in case: It's an enormous IRC network with an academic/open source-oriented user-base. Registering and maintaining a channel is free.
I know this QA is available, which is nice, but an IRC channel could facilitate lengthier and more spontaneous discussions, and it would also be a chance for other people to discover Fenics.
