Hello. I want to solve a nonlinear time dependent pde in one dimension in space. In order to solve it, must i convert the intitial time dependent nonlinear problem into a nonlinear problem that will be solved for every time instance?

That's the way to do it if you use a standard finite difference scheme for the time derivative. The Cahn-Hilliard demo has an example of this.
