Please let me know where I can find an example of calculating force vs displacement for a shape, with the material specified. We are planning to cut a complex shape out of spring steel and want to know the effective spring constant under load at various locations. If there are examples of this calculation for for a simple geometry (a bar fixed on one end) this will help me get started. Thank you.
