changing from one solid object to a group of object

Hi,

Is it possible to simulate that a hyperelastic solid object is changing to a group of object by cutting it down, for instance chopping a cucumber etc.? I mean if the elasticity parameters are known, can the force that cuts/breaks it down be estimated?

ok, I saw that there is another compiler called pum. It is probably a weird question but is it possible to simulate fracture mechanic for cracks in fenics using python instead of switching to another compiler?

I am sorry, but your question is rather the matter of mathematical modelling (PDE) theory than software related. Try to make it in FEniCS and then, if you had any problems, you could ask more specific questions here. This is an improper place for your question I think...
But it may be just my opinion...
